The ACTS Prayer Framework

A simple, biblical structure for meaningful daily prayer.

A

Adoration

Begin by praising God for who He is. Focus on His attributes and character — His love, faithfulness, power, and holiness. Adoration shifts our attention from ourselves to the greatness of God.

"Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom." — Psalm 145:3

C

Confession

Honestly acknowledge your shortcomings and ask for forgiveness. Confession clears the way for honest communion with God and opens your heart to His grace and renewal.

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." — 1 John 1:9

T

Thanksgiving

Express gratitude for blessings, answered prayers, and daily gifts. Thanksgiving cultivates a heart of contentment and reminds us of God's faithfulness in every season.

"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." — 1 Thessalonians 5:18

S

Supplication

Bring your needs and the needs of others before God in prayer. Supplication is where we lay our burdens, hopes, and requests at His feet, trusting in His provision and timing.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." — Philippians 4:6
