A Fresh Start This Morning
Begin your day by drawing near to Jesus. This prayer guide invites you to offer him your worship, lay down what weighs on you, give thanks for his faithfulness, and ask for his direction as the hours unfold.

Everyday life

Adoration
Start by noticing who Jesus is. You might acknowledge his goodness, his steadiness, the way he has never left you. As the psalmist writes, "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands" (Psalm 19:1, NIV) — and so does your own breath this morning. Tell him what you admire about him. It might be his patience. His strength. His tenderness. His wisdom. You don't need fancy words; just honest ones. "You are good, Jesus, and I'm grateful to know you" is enough. Let yourself feel the warmth of his presence as you speak.
Confession
Now, gently lay down what's been troubling your heart or weighing on your conscience. If there are words or actions you regret, if you've carried doubt or bitterness, or if you've simply drifted from remembering Jesus this week — he already knows, and he's not surprised. As it says in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness" (NIV). You don't have to perform remorse; just be honest. "Jesus, I've struggled with..." or "I'm sorry for the way I..." — that's prayer. Let his grace meet you there.
Thanksgiving
Shift now into gratitude, even for small things. The sleep you had. The breath in your lungs. A person who loves you. A meal you'll eat. A promise you've tasted. The fact that Jesus himself walked this earth and rose again, making a way for you. Philippians 4:4-5 reminds us, "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near" (NIV). Thank him out loud or in your heart for whatever comes to mind. Gratitude shifts something in us, and Jesus delights when we notice his gifts.
My Concerns
Finally, bring your day before him. Not with anxiety, but with honest asking. Do you need courage? Clarity? Patience with someone? Healing? Help with a decision? Simply tell Jesus what you need. As Matthew 7:7 says, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you" (NIV). You can ask for big things and small things — a good conversation, strength in a difficult moment, wisdom at work, peace in your mind. Then entrust the day to him. "Jesus, I'm placing this morning and these hours into your hands. Lead me. Guide me. Show me your way."
