Adoration
Begin by lifting your heart to the God who created all things and sustains them by His power. Take a moment to consider His majesty and glory—the vastness of His wisdom, the tenderness of His love, and the constancy of His character. As David wrote, 'Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom' (Psalm 145:3). Speak to Him of His worthiness, His sovereignty over your life, and His eternal nature. Tell Him how grateful you are simply to know Him, to have access to His throne through Christ.
Let your mind dwell on the names of God that bring you comfort: El Shaddai, the God who is more than enough; Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides; Emmanuel, God with us in every moment. As the apostle Paul reminds us, 'Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever' (1 Timothy 1:17). Pour out genuine expressions of awe and wonder at who God is, not because you feel you must, but because your heart is drawn to acknowledge His infinite perfection.

Confession
Move into a time of honest reflection about your heart before God. Consider where you have fallen short of His character, where pride, impatience, doubt, or selfishness has taken root. Remember that 'if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness' (1 John 1:9). Don't rush through this; let the Holy Spirit gently reveal areas where you need His grace and restoration.
Think about the ways you've disappointed others, neglected your responsibilities, or chosen your own desires over obedience to God. Speak these things aloud to Him, for 'the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit' (Psalm 34:18). There is no judgment in His presence for those who come with genuine repentance—only mercy, forgiveness, and the promise that through Christ's sacrifice, you are made clean. Let your confession be thorough yet hopeful, knowing that confession is the pathway to freedom.

Thanksgiving
Pause to recognize and celebrate the goodness of God in your life, both in the dramatic moments and in the everyday mercies you might otherwise overlook. Thank Him for the breath in your lungs, the people He has placed around you, the lessons He has taught you, and the doors He has opened or closed for your good. The Psalmist encourages us: 'Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name' (Psalm 100:4).
Reflect on specific blessings: your health, your home, your relationships, your work, the food you eat, the seasons, God's Word, the cross of Christ, and the promise of eternal life. Acknowledge how God has been faithful in the past and how He continues to be faithful in the present moment. As Paul instructs us, 'Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus' (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). Let gratitude fill your heart, transforming your perspective and anchoring your hope in God's unchanging goodness.

My Concerns
Now bring your requests before the Lord with confidence, knowing that 'you do not have because you do not ask God' (James 4:2). Bring the burdens you are carrying—your worries, your hopes, your questions, and your deepest longings. Jesus Himself taught us to ask, and He promises that 'if you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer' (Matthew 21:22). Present your concerns to God with honesty and specificity, trusting that He cares about every detail of your life.
Pray for wisdom in decisions you're facing, healing for those who are suffering, protection for those you love, and guidance for the days ahead. Pray for spiritual growth, for greater faith, for opportunities to serve others, and for the fruits of the Spirit to flourish in your life. But also surrender your requests to His will, remembering the promise that 'the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus' (Philippians 4:7). End your supplication by committing your requests to His care, trusting that He hears you and will answer according to His perfect wisdom and timing.
