Adoration
As you settle into this evening hour, turn your heart toward the One who sees all things and knows the way forward. Adore God as the perfect guide and counselor, whose wisdom surpasses all human understanding. As it is written, "The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?" (Psalm 27:1). He does not leave us to wander in darkness but graciously illuminates our path. Praise Him for His omniscience and His loving concern for every detail of your life. Reflect on how God has guided you in the past, through circumstances, wise counsel, and His still, small voice within your spirit.
Confession
In this moment of honesty before God, acknowledge any resistance you may have toward His guidance. Confess the times you have relied on your own understanding rather than seeking His will, or when you have moved forward without waiting for His direction. As Scripture reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding" (Proverbs 3:5). Admit any fear that may be clouding your judgment or preventing you from fully surrendering your decisions to Him. Recognize any pride that whispers you can navigate this path alone, and ask God's forgiveness for these stumbling blocks.
Thanksgiving
Express gratitude for God's unwavering faithfulness in guiding you through past seasons of uncertainty and change. Thank Him for the gift of His Word, which serves as a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. Give thanks that you are not abandoned in confusion—God promises in Isaiah 48:17, "I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go." Appreciate the people He has placed in your life whose wisdom and prayers support you. Thank Him for the peace that comes from knowing His hand is upon your life, even when the next step is unclear.
My Concerns
Humbly bring your specific situation before God, asking Him to make His will clear and unmistakable. Request wisdom to discern between your own desires and His purposes, praying with the psalmist, "Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths" (Psalm 25:4). Ask for courage to follow His direction even if it differs from your expectations, and for patience as He reveals the next steps in His perfect timing. Pray for peace that transcends understanding as you wait for clarity, and ask the Holy Spirit to speak through circumstances, counsel, and Scripture to guide your heart toward the decision that honors Him.
