Evening Reflection on Meetings - An ACTS Prayer Guide

Begin by recognizing God's sovereign presence in all our conversations and gatherings. As we reflect on today's meetings, let us lift our hearts in praise for the God who is present in every room we enter. The psalmist reminds us, 'The Lord has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all' (Psalm 103:19). Ask God to forgive you for any words spoken in frustration or any decisions made without seeking His wisdom. Bring these moments to Him without shame, knowing that His mercy is new every morning.

Express gratitude for the specific blessings woven through today's meetings and interactions. Thank God for colleagues who contributed wisdom, for conversations that moved projects forward, and for the opportunity to engage in meaningful work. As Paul encourages, 'Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus' (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Give thanks even for challenging meetings, as they refine our character and teach us patience. Appreciate the skills and abilities God has given you to communicate effectively, the platforms from which you can influence others, and the trust others place in you. Pray that God would give you discernment to know when to speak and when to listen, asking Him for 'wisdom that comes from heaven' (James 3:17).
