5–12 min
Adoration
Begin this morning by lifting your eyes to the One who sees all and knows all. Praise God for His infinite wisdom and perfect understanding that surpasses human knowledge. As the Psalmist writes, 'Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit' (Psalm 147:5). Acknowledge that God alone holds the blueprint of your life and that His guidance is not merely suggestion but a loving provision for your good. Thank Him for being a God who desires to lead His children, who speaks clearly to those who listen, and who promises wisdom to all who ask.
Confession
Humbly acknowledge the times you have rushed ahead without seeking His counsel or leaned on your own understanding instead of trusting His direction. Confess any pride that makes you hesitant to ask for help or admit uncertainty about the path ahead. The Scripture reminds us, 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding' (Proverbs 3:5). Release any fear that His guidance might cost you too much or lead you away from what you desire. Ask forgiveness for the moments you've doubted His goodness or questioned whether His direction truly serves your best interests.
Thanksgiving
Express gratitude for the specific instances when God has guided you faithfully, protecting you from harm and leading you toward blessing. Thank Him for the ways His guidance has already shaped your life—the doors He opened, the relationships He brought, the opportunities He provided. Give thanks that you serve a God who says, 'I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye upon you' (Psalm 32:8). Appreciate the gift of His Word as a lamp to your feet and the indwelling Holy Spirit who whispers truth. Thank Him that seeking His guidance is not a burden but a privilege that deepens your relationship with Him.
My Concerns
Ask the Lord to reveal His will for the decisions you face today, both the significant and the seemingly small. Pray for clear discernment to recognize His voice amid the noise of competing voices and opinions around you. Request that God grant you patience to wait for His timing rather than forcing outcomes, and courage to follow through even when His path requires sacrifice or courage. Say to Him what David expressed: 'Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long' (Psalm 25:4-5). Ask for the peace that confirms you are walking in His will and the wisdom to know when to move forward and when to pause and listen.
