A Fresh Morning With Jesus
Begin your day by turning toward Jesus in prayer. This guide walks you through adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication—creating space to invite Him into whatever this day holds.

Adoration
Start by simply noticing who Jesus is. You might begin by acknowledging His presence with you right now, in this early stillness. As the psalmist says, 'One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord' (Psalm 27:4, NIV). What is one thing about Jesus that comes to mind this morning? His faithfulness? His gentleness? His power? Take a moment to tell Him what you see and what draws your heart toward Him.
You don't need fancy words—just honest ones. Thank Him for being the same yesterday, today, and forever. Tell Him that you belong to Him, and that you're glad to meet Him here before the day begins.

Confession
Now gently turn to any weight you're carrying. Where did you stumble yesterday or even just this morning? Where do you sense distance between you and Jesus—perhaps impatience, unkindness, doubt, or simply forgetting He's with you? As Jesus promised, 'If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness' (1 John 1:9, ESV). Bring those places to Him without shame. He already knows them, and He's not surprised or disappointed. He's inviting you to lay them down so you can walk freely into your day.
You might pray something like, 'Jesus, I'm sorry for...' and name what comes to mind. Then simply receive His forgiveness. Let it wash over you. You are clean.

Thanksgiving
Even in the midst of ordinary days, gratitude opens our hearts. Think of three small or large gifts from yesterday or this morning: a good night's sleep, a person you love, breath in your lungs, coffee, a moment of peace. The Apostle Paul wrote, 'Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus' (1 Thessalonians 5:18, NIV). Naming these gifts isn't about pretending hard things don't exist—it's about noticing that Jesus is weaving good things through your life even now.
Take a moment to say thanks for each one. Feel free to be specific and personal. Jesus delights in your gratitude the way a parent delights in a child's simple 'thank you.'

My Concerns
Now bring the day itself to Jesus. What are you hoping for? What are you worried about? What do you need His help with? As He invites us in Matthew 7:7, 'Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you' (Matthew 7:7, NIV). There's no need to minimize or dress up your requests. Bring your real needs, your real fears, and your real longings.
You might pray about decisions ahead, relationships that matter to you, work or rest, or simply for Jesus to be close throughout your day. Tell Him what you need. And then, in the quiet after your asking, listen for any sense of His peace or direction. He promises that 'the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus' (Philippians 4:7, NIV). You can step into this day held by that peace.
