A Fresh Morning with Jesus
Begin your day by sitting with Jesus in the quiet morning hours. This guide invites you to offer him your whole self—your praise, your honest heart, your gratitude, and your needs—as you step into whatever this day holds.

Adoration
Start by letting your mind settle on who Jesus is. Not what he can do for you—just who he is. He is faithful. He meets you here, in this quiet, without you having to earn it or prepare anything special. As David wrote, "One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on his beauty and to seek him in his temple" (Psalm 27:4, ESV). You don't need eloquent words right now—just notice him. Notice his steadiness, his kindness, the way he keeps showing up for you. Tell him what strikes you about him this morning. Is it his patience? His strength? His gentleness? Let yourself be genuinely moved by who he is, and speak that back to him in whatever way feels honest.
Confession
Now, gently open the doors you usually keep closed. There's no rush here, and nothing you say will surprise him or turn him away. Where did you stumble yesterday or in recent days? Where did you choose your own way instead of his? It might be something loud—an anger you regret, a word you wish you could take back. It might be something quiet—a way you doubted him, or withdrew from someone he loves, or held onto control when you could have trusted him. Jesus said, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9, ESV). Confession isn't about punishing yourself—it's about coming clean so you can walk free. Tell him what's true about where you've missed the mark, and let yourself feel the weight lift.
Thanksgiving
Move now into gratitude, even for small things. The warmth of your bed. The chance to try again today. Someone who believes in you. A promise from Scripture that came to mind yesterday. Jesus taught his disciples to come to his Father with thanksgiving in all circumstances—not because everything is easy, but because he is good and trustworthy. "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18, ESV). What are three things you're grateful for right now? Not big things necessarily—just real things. Say them out loud if you can. Feel the shift in your heart as you remember: you are not starting from empty. You start with his grace already given.
My Concerns
Finally, bring your day to him. What are you carrying? What do you need strength for? A conversation that worries you. A decision you haven't made yet. Someone you're concerned about. A fear that keeps surfacing. Jesus invites you to lay it all down: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6–7, ESV). You're not asking him to promise that everything will go smoothly—you're asking him to be with you in it, to guide you, to hold what you cannot hold. Tell him specifically what you need today. Ask him for wisdom, for courage, for gentleness, for a heart that stays close to him. Ask him to go before you.
