A Midday Celebration with Jesus
Pause in the middle of your day to celebrate what God has done and is doing. This prayer guide helps you share your joy with Jesus and invite Him into the fullness of this moment.

Grateful for something

Adoration
Start by lifting your eyes to who Jesus is — the one who delights in your delight. You might begin by telling Him what draws you to Him in this moment. Perhaps it's His faithfulness, His generosity, His kindness toward you specifically. As Paul writes, "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice" (Philippians 4:4, ESV). There's something powerful about celebrating not just what He's done, but who He is — the God who loves to see His children flourish. Take a moment to speak directly to Jesus about His character. What aspect of who He is makes your heart want to overflow right now?
Confession
Even in celebration, there may be small places where you've held back joy, or moments where you've forgotten to give credit to the One who makes all good things possible. You might gently ask Jesus: Have I taken this for granted? Have I celebrated without acknowledging You? There's no shame here — this is simply the honest work of turning toward Him. Jesus invites us to come as we are, and that includes coming with the full picture of our hearts. If something surfaces, name it simply. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9, ESV). This confession clears the way for even deeper joy.
Thanksgiving
Now let gratitude pour out. Thank Jesus for the specific blessing you're celebrating today — name it, taste it, feel it as you speak it aloud. Thank Him for the path that led to this moment. Thank Him for people who walked it with you. Thank Him for His presence even when you didn't see it coming. The Psalmist knew this well: "Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name" (Psalm 100:4, ESV). Your thanksgiving is not just polite — it's an act of worship that anchors this joy in truth. What details of this blessing can you thank Him for? The small things, the big things, the unexpected things. Let your gratitude be specific and genuine.
My Concerns
Finally, invite Jesus into what comes next. You might ask Him to help you hold onto this joy, to deepen it, to let it reshape how you see His goodness. You could ask Him to show you how this blessing might overflow into the lives of others. Or simply ask Him to keep you close, to remind you on harder days that He is as good as He has proven Himself to be in this moment. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God" (Philippians 4:6, ESV). There is room here for your hopes, your next steps, your desire to stay connected to His goodness. What do you want to ask Him as you move forward from this celebration?
