A Morning of Joy
Start your day with gratitude and gladness. This prayer guide helps you bring your celebration before Jesus—whether it's a personal victory, good news, or simply the gift of a new day. You'll invite Him into your joy and ask Him to deepen it.

Adoration
Begin by turning your attention to the One who is the source of all good gifts. Jesus doesn't just receive our celebration—He delights in it alongside us. The psalmist invites us into this: "Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things" (Psalm 98:1, ESV). Take a moment to praise Him simply for who He is—faithful, generous, and moved by the happiness of His people. You might tell Him why He deserves your joy this morning. Maybe it's because He's proven Himself trustworthy, or because His mercies are new every morning. Let your praise be as natural as the sunrise.
Confession
Now, gently bring any hesitation or heaviness to the surface. Sometimes when we're celebrating, we hold back—wondering if we deserve this joy, or afraid it won't last. That's human, and Jesus understands. He invites us: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28, ESV). If you've doubted His goodness, or if you've felt guilty about receiving this gift, name that to Him now. There's no judgment here—only a Father who wants you to receive what He's giving. Talk to Him about whatever might be keeping your heart from fully celebrating.
Thanksgiving
This is the heart of your prayer this morning. Spend real time naming what you're grateful for—the specific thing you're celebrating, and the path that led you here. Thank Jesus for His hand in it, even the invisible parts. As Paul writes, "Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, ESV). Let your gratitude spill over. Thank Him for the people who've stood with you, for the small mercies you might have missed, for His patience and provision. Don't rush this—let it fill the space. Your thanksgiving is a form of worship, and it anchors your joy in something deeper than circumstance.
My Concerns
Close by asking Jesus to do something with this moment. You might ask Him to sustain this joy, to help you share it generously with others, or to use this celebration as a reminder of His faithfulness on harder days ahead. Pray that this good thing draws you closer to Him, not further away. You could ask, "Help me remember this morning, Lord, and help me look to You—not just for the next celebration, but every day." Let your asking be honest and hopeful. He is listening, and He loves to grant the requests of those who trust Him.
