A Morning of Joy—Celebrating with Jesus
Start your day by bringing your joy to Jesus. This prayer guide helps you pause in celebration, acknowledge the goodness around you, and invite Him into the joy you're experiencing.

Adoration
Begin by simply noticing who Jesus is in the midst of your celebration. He is the giver of every good thing. Take a moment and tell Him what draws your heart to worship this morning. You might name His generosity, His faithfulness, His nearness. As the psalmist sings, "Praise the Lord, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. For great is his love toward us" (Psalm 117:1-2, ESV). Let that overflow of love become your opening words. What about Jesus' character makes your joy feel even deeper? Speak that to Him now.
There's a particular freedom in celebrating before Jesus—in letting Him see your full delight. He doesn't diminish joy; He multiplies it. Spend a moment worshiping Him simply for being the kind of God who invites you to bring Him your happiness, your victories, your good news. "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!" (Philippians 4:4, ESV)—those words are meant for a morning exactly like this one.

Confession
Even as you celebrate, there may be small things weighing on your heart—moments of doubt, corners where you didn't extend grace, or places where you've been holding back your joy. You don't need to drag heaviness into this morning, but you might gently name what's there. Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28, ESV). There's nothing that disqualifies you from celebrating with Him.
If there are ways you've fallen short—unkindness spoken, credit taken that wasn't yours, joy you've withheld from someone else—bring those to Him now. Not to dim your celebration, but to cleanse it. He meets you in confession with the same love He shows in your joy. Let yourself be honest and brief, and then receive His forgiveness as the gift it is.

Thanksgiving
This is the easiest and most natural part of your prayer this morning. What specifically are you celebrating? Name it with real words. The promotion, the relationship, the answered prayer, the small victory no one else may have noticed—it matters, and it deserves to be spoken aloud to Jesus. "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thessalonians 5:18, ESV).
As you thank Him, let your words spill over. Thank Him not just for the celebration itself, but for the people who've walked with you, the doors He opened, the strength He gave you to get here. Thank Him for how this joy feels in your body—the lightness, the warmth, the aliveness of it. He loves to hear gratitude; it's music to His ears. Don't rush this part. Linger in your thanks.

My Concerns
Now bring your celebration forward into the rest of your day and beyond. You might ask Jesus to help you carry this joy with wisdom—to share it with others in a way that honors them, to let it fuel generosity, to keep it grounded in gratitude. Ask Him to guard your heart, so that joy doesn't become pride, and celebration doesn't become forgetfulness of His faithfulness.
You might also bring Him what comes next: the work ahead, the relationships to steward, the opportunities born from this good moment. "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed" (Proverbs 16:3, ESV). Ask Him to keep this celebration from being a pinnacle you cling to, but rather a waypoint that deepens your trust in His goodness. Invite Him to do more than you can imagine with this joy—to use it for His purposes in ways you can't yet see.
