A Morning of Joy—Celebrating with Jesus
Begin your morning by bringing your joy to Jesus. This prayer guide invites you to celebrate what God has done and is doing in your life, turning your gratitude into worship and your hope into conversation with Him.

Adoration
Start by letting your joy overflow into praise. There is something beautiful about bringing your happiness straight to Jesus—He delights when His children delight. You might begin by telling Him what makes your heart light this morning. What has He done that deserves your celebration? As the psalmist writes, 'Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice' (Philippians 4:4, ESV). Let that permission settle in: you are invited to rejoice. Speak to Jesus about His goodness. Tell Him about the ways He has shown up, the doors He has opened, the kindness He has woven through your life. There's no need to be measured or careful here—celebration is its own form of worship. 'Oh taste and see that the Lord is good' (Psalm 34:8, ESV)—and this morning, you have tasted His goodness. Celebrate that with Him.
Confession
Even in celebration, there may be small things worth naming. Sometimes joy carries guilt with it—gratitude mixed with the weight of wondering why you've been blessed when others struggle. Or perhaps there are moments when you've held your happiness close without sharing it, or failed to acknowledge the Source of your joy. Bring these gently to Jesus. There is no heaviness required here, just honesty. 'If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness' (1 John 1:9, ESV). You are safe with Him, even in a moment of joy. Ask Him to clear away anything that might cloud your celebration—any small resentment, any forgetfulness, any moment where you took credit for what He has done. Let Him make space in your joy so it can be pure.
Thanksgiving
This is the moment to let your celebration become specific. Don't rush here. Thank Jesus for the particular thing—the relationship restored, the answered prayer, the unexpected blessing, the milestone reached. Thank Him for the way you feel right now, and thank Him for the journey that led you here. 'Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name' (Psalm 100:4, ESV). Your thanksgiving is itself a kind of entering into His presence. Name the small things too—the way the morning light falls, the people who stood with you, the quiet grace that held you steady. Thank Him for what this celebration reveals about His character: His generosity, His faithfulness, His joy in you. 'Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven' (Matthew 5:12, ESV). Let Him know that you recognize His hand in it all.
My Concerns
Now, with your joy as your foundation, bring your hopes to Him. What do you want to see continue? What new thing might grow from this celebration? Ask Him to keep your heart open—to let this joy spill over into how you love others today. You might ask Him to help you stay humble, to remember where this blessing came from, or to use what He has given you to bless someone else. 'Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart' (Psalm 37:4, ESV). Ask Him to guard your celebration, to help you hold it lightly enough that it doesn't become pride, but firmly enough that gratitude takes root. And ask Him simply to keep walking with you—to let this morning's joy be a reminder of His closeness, even on days when things feel harder.
