A Morning Offering
Begin your day by inviting Jesus into the hours ahead. This guide walks you through gratitude for a new day, honesty about what you carry, thanksgiving for God's faithfulness, and prayers for the day to come.

Adoration
Start by simply noticing who Jesus is. In the quiet of this new morning, before the day fills your hands and mind, turn your attention to him. You might pray something like: "Jesus, you were here before I woke. You knew this day was coming. I want to know you in it." Think about what draws you to him—his faithfulness through yesterday, his patience with you, the way he calls you by name. As the psalmist writes, "One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord" (Psalm 27:4, ESV). That gaze can start right now, in this moment. What is one thing about Jesus that steadies you as you face this day?
Confession
Now bring the truth of where you are. You don't need grand words—just honesty. Is there something you're carrying from yesterday that needs to be named? A fear about today? A way you've been unkind or small? Jesus already knows. He invites you to speak it aloud anyway, not because he's waiting to condemn you, but because confession is how we let him in. You might pray: "Jesus, I'm struggling with..." or "I'm worried that..." or simply "I'm not okay, and I need you." Remember what John reminds us: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9, ESV). The cleansing is already waiting. Your job is simply to open your hands and speak.
Thanksgiving
Even in an ordinary morning, there is something to give thanks for. A bed you woke in. Breath. Someone who loves you. A hope, however small. You might pause and pray: "Thank you, Jesus, for..." and let the list grow—not as a performance, but as a way of remembering that you are held. As Paul writes, "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18, ESV). This morning is one of those circumstances. What does your heart want to thank him for?
My Concerns
Now ask. Tell Jesus what this day needs. Strength for something hard. Clarity for a decision. Patience with someone you love. Healing for a pain you carry. Courage for something small. You don't need to know exactly how he'll answer—just bring it to him. You might pray: "Jesus, I need you to help me with..." or "I'm asking you to guide me toward..." or simply "Please be with me today." As Jesus himself teaches us, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you" (Matthew 7:7, ESV). The invitation is open. What do you most need to ask him for as you step into these hours?
