Grateful for something

Adoration
Start by turning toward Jesus with what you're celebrating. He is the source of every good thing, and He delights when we notice His hand at work. You might begin by telling Him what He means to you—His faithfulness, His strength, His kindness. As David wrote, "Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; sing praise to His name, for that is pleasant" (Psalm 135:3, ESV). There's no need for fancy words; just speak the goodness you see in Him. What do you love about who He is? What has He shown you about His character today or this week? Take a moment to name it aloud or in your heart.
Confession
Celebration can open our hearts in beautiful ways. As you sit with Jesus in this joy, you might notice places where you've held back gratitude, or times you forgot to see His hand at work. That's not failure—that's just being human. You might confess how easily you move past His gifts without stopping to say thank you, or how worry sometimes crowds out wonder. Jesus already knows, and He invites you to be honest. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9, ESV). There's freedom in naming what's true. What do you want to tell Him?
Thanksgiving
This is the heart of your celebration—gratitude poured out. Take time to name the specific blessings you're holding: answered prayers, kindness from others, strength you didn't expect, small mercies you almost missed. The psalmist invites us: "Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name" (Psalm 100:4, ESV). You might thank Him for the big victory that brought you here, or for the quiet faithfulness that sustained you to this moment. Thank Him for how He shows up, how He listens, how He never leaves. What are you most grateful for right now?
My Concerns
As you celebrate, you can also bring your heart forward—the hopes still forming, the work still unfolding. You might ask Jesus to help you carry this joy into the rest of your day, or to remember this goodness when doubt creeps in. "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice... And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:4, 7, ESV). Ask Him to deepen your trust, to help you notice His faithfulness even on harder days, to keep your heart open to wonder. What do you want to invite Jesus into as you move forward?
