Adoration
This morning, your joy is an invitation to see Jesus more clearly. He is the source of every good thing you're celebrating—every answered prayer, every unexpected kindness, every moment of grace. Take a breath and look at Him. You might pray about His character: His faithfulness that brought you to this moment, His generosity that keeps overflowing, His joy that is deeper and more real than any circumstance. As the psalmist declares, "You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy" (Psalm 16:11, ESV). Let that sink in. The joy you're feeling this morning is a reflection of His presence with you. Spend a few moments telling Jesus what you're seeing about Him through this celebration. What does His goodness look like to you right now? What do you love about Him that this joy is making clear?
Confession
Morning celebrations can sometimes make us forget that we're still human—still prone to pride, still capable of taking credit, still able to forget the Author of it all. Talk to Jesus honestly about that. Have you let this joy become about you rather than about Him? Have you forgotten to thank Him along the way? Or maybe you're aware of ways you've messed up, even in the midst of celebrating—things you'd rather gloss over. Bring those too. As Paul writes, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9, ESV). Confession isn't meant to dim your celebration; it's meant to clarify it. Let your confession be gentle, honest, and brief. Jesus already knows. He's inviting you into the light anyway.
Thanksgiving
Here's where your heart gets to run free. This is the place to name it all—the big blessings and the small ones that easily slip past without a word of thanks. Thank Jesus for the specific thing or things you're celebrating. Be particular. Instead of general gratitude, get concrete: thank Him for the person, the answer, the opportunity, the mercy, the turnaround, the moment. The writer of Hebrews reminds us, "Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name" (Hebrews 13:15, ESV). Your thanksgiving is a gift back to Him. As you pray, you might thank Him for the circumstances that led here, the people who walked alongside you, and His presence through it all. Don't rush this part. Let your gratitude be warm and specific and real.
My Concerns
Even in celebration, you have needs ahead of you. This is your chance to ask Jesus to help you carry this joy forward in a way that honors Him and blesses others. You might pray that He helps you remember this goodness on harder days. You might ask Him to guide you in how to steward what He's given. You might request wisdom about the next chapter, whatever that looks like. As Jesus teaches us, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find" (Matthew 7:7, ESV). Don't hesitate to bring your hopes and your uncertainties to Him. What do you want to ask Him for as you move forward? How do you want Him to shape your heart in the days ahead, even as you're walking in this celebration?
