Adoration
Start by turning your attention to who Jesus is—not primarily for what He will do, but for who He simply is. Notice that He is awake before you are awake. He has already seen this day. There's a deep safety in recognizing that the God who guides you is the God who knows all things. As the psalmist writes, "Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there were none of them" (Psalm 139:16, ESV). Jesus, you are not figuring this out as I go. You already see the day that lies before me.
Take a moment to sit with that truth. You might whisper words of praise for His omniscience—His complete knowledge of what you're walking toward. Thank Him that guidance isn't about Him learning what's best alongside you; it's about you learning to trust what He already knows. What words come to mind when you think of Jesus as the One who sees all? Let those words rise naturally.

Confession
There's often a gap between knowing Jesus holds the future and actually trusting Him with it. You might find yourself rehearsing worries about the choice ahead, or feeling the pull to figure things out on your own strength. That's not failure—it's the honest place where most of us live. Bring that to Him now.
Confess where you've been leaning on your own understanding instead of seeking His peace. The good news is tender: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding" (Proverbs 3:5, ESV). He doesn't say this to shame you for trying; He says it because He loves you and knows that His way brings rest. If you've been carrying the weight of deciding alone, you might pray something like, *Jesus, I've been trying to figure this out by myself, and I'm tired. I'm sorry for not asking for your wisdom first.* Let His kindness meet you there.

Thanksgiving
Even before you know which direction to take today, there is something to be grateful for: Jesus has already proven Himself faithful. He has guided you through other uncertain moments. He has shown you His goodness in past decisions. This morning, pause and remember. What is one way He has made His path clear to you before? What is one choice, big or small, where you felt His hand?
Thank Him specifically for that. Then expand your gratitude: thank Him that He doesn't guide reluctantly—that showing you the way matters to Him. "The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs" (Isaiah 58:11, NIV). He is not too busy to care about what you're facing today. You might pray simply: *Jesus, thank you that you have guided me before. Thank you that you want to guide me today. Thank you that you are not distant from my questions.*

My Concerns
Now ask. Invite Jesus into the actual path of the day. Be specific. Tell Him what decision or direction you're uncertain about, and ask Him to make His way clear. Don't worry about finding exactly the right words—He knows your heart already.
You might pray: *Jesus, I'm uncertain about [name the thing]. Show me your wisdom. Help me to sense your direction, whether through Scripture, through wise counsel, through peace, or through circumstances. Most of all, help me to trust you more than I trust my own fear.* Stay with this for a moment. Then, before you rise and step into the day, ask Him for one more thing: the courage to follow what He shows you, even if it looks different from what you expected. "Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, 'This is the way; walk in it'" (Isaiah 30:21, NIV). He will speak. Your job is to listen and move.
