Morning: Offering Your Day to Jesus
A gentle prayer guide to begin your day by inviting Jesus into your hours ahead. You'll bring your heart before Him, acknowledge where you need His grace, give thanks for His faithfulness, and ask Him to guide your steps.

Adoration
Start by noticing who Jesus is. You might think about how He rose with the dawn, how He never sleeps, how He is already awake and present in this new day. Tell Him what draws you to Him. Maybe it's His steadiness, His kindness, the way He sees you fully. Don't rush here—let yourself simply speak to Him about His character. As the psalmist writes, "O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you and watch" (Psalm 5:3, ESV). You're not preparing a sacrifice of animals, but a sacrifice of your attention, your gratitude, your wonder at who He is. What is one thing about Jesus that your heart needs to remember today?
Confession
Now bring the places where you've stumbled or turned away—even small ones. Where have you chosen your own way instead of trusting Him? Where do you feel the weight of yesterday's mistakes, or the weight of anxiety about today? Jesus already knows these places, and He invites you into honesty. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9, ESV). There's no condemnation waiting for you here—only the clearing away of what keeps you distant from Him. What needs to be named and released this morning?
Thanksgiving
Before you ask for anything, pause and notice what's already been given. The breath in your lungs. The roof over your head. The people who know and love you. The fact that you woke up to another chance. Maybe there's something specific from yesterday or this week that your heart is grateful for. Let gratitude open up in you. "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18, ESV). Giving thanks isn't about pretending hard things don't exist—it's about anchoring yourself in the reality that Jesus is good, that He provides, that He's never abandoned what He loves. What are you genuinely thankful for?
My Concerns
Now bring your day to Jesus. The meetings, the conversations, the work, the uncertainties. Ask Him to guide your steps, to give you wisdom when you need it, to show you where He's working so you can join Him there. Ask Him to make you patient with the people around you, attentive to His presence in small moments. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6–7, ESV). You don't have to manage the whole day alone. What do you need His help with today? What would you like to ask Him to do?
