Morning Offering

A gentle way to begin your day by offering yourself, your hopes, and your questions to Jesus. This guide helps you start fresh each morning, inviting Him into whatever lies ahead.

Morning Everyday life
5–12 min

Welcome to this morning with Jesus. Before the day unfolds, take a few quiet moments to turn your heart toward Him and settle into His presence.

Adoration

Start by simply noticing who Jesus is. You might think about His faithfulness—how He was present yesterday and is present right now, in this moment before the busyness begins. As the psalmist writes, "Your mercy, Lord, reaches to the heavens, and your faithfulness to the skies" (Psalm 36:5, ESV). Spend a moment thinking about a way you've seen His goodness recently, even in small things. Maybe it's a conversation that encouraged you, a night of rest, or simply waking to another day. Thank Him for being steady and true. You don't need many words—just turn toward Him and let yourself feel grateful for who He is.

Confession

Now bring the pieces of yourself that need His grace. Think gently through yesterday and this morning: Where did you rush without listening? Where did worry whisper louder than trust? Where did you speak or act in a way that didn't reflect His love? Jesus invites you to bring these things without fear. As He tells us through John, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9, ESV). You're not confessing to earn His favor—you're confessing to receive the freedom He's already offering. Name what comes to mind, knowing that He meets you here with tenderness, not judgment.

Thanksgiving

Before your feet touch the floor for all that's ahead, pause to notice what you can already be grateful for. Maybe it's rest, health, relationships, or even just the hope of this new day. You might thank Him for how He's shaped you—your strengths, the hard things that have made you wiser, the people who love you. As Paul writes, "Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, ESV). Even gratitude itself is a gift He's given you. Speak out a few things that rise to your heart, and let yourself feel the quiet joy of a life held in His hands.

My Concerns

Now bring what you need. This might be courage for a conversation you're facing, wisdom for a decision, patience with someone you love, or simply the grace to be present today without getting swept away. You might pray for people you carry in your heart, for this day's work or rest, for your own heart to stay open to Him. Jesus welcomes these requests—He says, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find" (Matthew 7:7, ESV). Bring your hopes and your worries honestly. Ask Him to guide you, strengthen you, and keep you close to His heart throughout the hours ahead. And ask Him to help you notice Him as the day unfolds—in moments of beauty, in kindness from others, in His voice calling you back when you drift.
