Morning with Jesus
A gentle guide to start your day by drawing near to Jesus—adoring Him for who He is, opening your heart honestly, giving thanks for His faithfulness, and asking Him to guide your steps ahead.

Adoration
Begin by noticing something true about Jesus that your heart needs to remember this morning. Maybe it's that He never sleeps, that He is closer than your next breath, or that His mercies are brand new today. As the psalmist writes, "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning" (Lamentations 3:22–23, ESV). Take a moment to speak that truth back to Him. Tell Jesus what you see in His character—His patience, His strength, His tenderness. You don't need eloquent words; just honest ones. He delights in being known and loved by you.
Confession
Now invite Jesus into the honest places. Where did you stumble yesterday, or even this morning? Where are you carrying shame, doubt, or weariness that doesn't belong to you? Jesus extends this invitation: "Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28, ESV). There's no condemnation waiting for you here—only a Father who sees you fully and loves you still. Tell Him what weighs on you. Name the small failures and the large ones. Let yourself be known, and receive the truth that His grace covers every bit of it.
Thanksgiving
Shift your gaze to what He has already done and given. Perhaps it's the simple gift of waking up, of breath, of another chance. Maybe it's a person who loves you, a answered prayer from weeks ago, or a truth that has held you steady. The apostle Paul reminds us, "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18, ESV). Take a few moments to name the specific gifts you're grateful for—big and small alike. Thank Jesus for His provision, His presence, His patience with you. Gratitude opens your heart to see Him more clearly.
My Concerns
Finally, bring your day to Him. What do you need today? Wisdom for a decision, courage for a conversation, peace in the midst of uncertainty, strength for what lies ahead? Jesus invites you into this: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God" (Philippians 4:6, ESV). Talk to Him about the hours ahead. Ask Him to guide your steps, guard your heart, and help you see His hand at work. Ask for what you need—and trust that He cares about the details of your day as much as you do.
